My extremely biased opinion: The RSV4 continues to be the best leader bike to ride, and stare at, but unquestionably the worst to own. Piaggio USA and everybody that works there, as well as at their dealers, are the epitome of how not to run a business . I’m not selling my RSV4 any time soon , but everybody involved in the US busi ne ss can eat multiple wieners . Unless they are into that, in which case I wish a severe wiener drought upon them.
Bridgestones are crappy and I don’t know anyone that rides them. If the testers had to actually pay for their tires, they’d use Pirellis like everybody else.
The BMW is as boring and sterile as a 200hp bike can be. Same for the Honda . The Ducati is a good Ducati but that’s it. Pick a given trackday or club race, and 9 /10 leader bikes in the fast group will be R1s or ZX- 10s.
Finally, note that these all have neutered exhausts and tuning. An exhaust and ECU flash will make a yuuuuuuge difference for all of them, especially at the top of the rev range.

Not the first person to mention that. I put up a dyno video of an RSV4 and tagged the owner. Buddy messaged me a half hour later to take it down because if Aprilia saw it they’d void his warranty. Meanwhile Ducati over here putting their customers bikes on the dyno during a bike night... Haha.
